I just found this 8 with painted OEM rims and i think it's cool, what do you guys think? Will it look good on a TG? This 8 is from one of the members here.

Please give me your ipinion on this.

 

I think it would look good if it was powder coated all black.

yeah it would be better with the powder paint or maybe if it was more of a matte, but i still like it. Nice.

 

I'm thinking about doing the same thing.

 

Pic 1 would look good if the strakes where silver. It would flow with the black and silver wheels.

Who's ride is that with the decal on the hood?

 

It's kinda got that 70's/60's porche 911 mag look to it painted that way which is kinda cool. Painted strakes don't look good though.

Gunmetal would have looked nicer, but none the less +1 for originallity.

black is the best color to paint your stock wheels, then gunmetal..

I've said this before, but I think white stock would look awesome on Yellow as well. Only problem is they will get dirty as hell.

 

I'd like to know the work involved in spray painting those rims white :P

 

Definately clear the hell out of them for easy cleaning. When I get my new rims my stockers will go to track duty So I might have a buddy spray them just for kicks. My cousin had hi EVO MR BBS rims done in STI Gold and it looked good.
