Aftermarket TMPS

Hey everyone, i was planning on getting some Volks racing Gt-s or Sf Challenge and ive been told they dont take tmps. But ive also been told there are aftermarket sensors available. I was wondering, are these aftermarket sensors compatible with the rx8's sensor? And also, if they are, where can i get these and how do i know its compatible with the rims im planning on getting? Any help would be awesome. Thanks

You know I called tirerack.com and they will sell you after market ones I think for like $12.
Call them and ask them how good they are and how they hold up.

They do make a TPMS that isn't integrated with the valve stem but is instead wrapped around the center of the wheel like a belt.

I haven't seen them in a long time but they should work with any type of wheel.

Yeah it is the Smartire system mentioned by Mazdaspeed above:

http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/.../smartire2.jsp

Those should fit on any wheel. It doesn't necessarilly integrate with the RX-8's system.
