Exclamation Which Mtn Should we run?

Should the September drive be Mt Baker or Mt Rainier?

Note, the pavement on Mt. Baker is much improved since I wrote that article.

Either one works for me. Obviously the best roads of course!

We were thinking that Mt. Baker may be a better choice. Mt. Rainer is beautiful but there always seems to be traffic galore. Either way thought, you know that we will be there.

Good point. I think when the last NW group did Mt. Rainier it was during a non-peak tourist time last spring.

Traffic is a good point. Last time I tried Rainier, there wasn't too much traffic, but still some snow on the Hwy in places, and the road to Paradise was closed. I've actually never been up there.

Baker is awesome with the relatively fresh pavement. We'll see who else chimes in over the next couple of days (what with every one out enjoying the holiday weekend).

All right, I'm thinkin' we should run Baker on the 23, since we've all go that movie night at the drive in on the 30th. I'll update with more details later this weekend.

I would prefer to run on Sunday. Saturdays, during the day, usually have something going on and that one is no exception.

All right. I've got the grill, as usual. And this time I'm bringing the burgers. It's a week and a half away, cancel the trip to your in-laws and get ready for the drive.

Too bad. Isn't that what employee's are for. The fruit salad was wonderful, I vote for that. So we still need beverages, buns, and chips for while we wait on the grill.

I'm usually loathe to using a LIST but they do seem to help. So far we have:

1) kristopher_d
2) skinless
3) Marquis

Oh man... If it's the 24th I can't go as I'll be on a business trip. The 23rd is booked too. Same with the following weekend...

Have a great time! I'll be with you in spirit

Sorry to hear that. I guess you'll be missing movie night too.

For everyone else, I'll post details on meeting place and time. If anyone up that way knows of a good spot in or near Sedro Wooley to meet up, please post. I always just turn right off Hwy 9 and head for the Mtn.

Maybe I won't miss movie night afterall. I get out of class at 4:30, so depending on when you meet, I can prolly make it. Class doesn't start until 10 on Sunday, so I can deal with a late night! I'll look at the thread for the details. Thanks for the reminder!

I'm still not completely sure if I'll make it on Sunday, but I'm hoping to. What time were you thinking of meeting up, and where?

I was thinking we should meet at Rasar State Park http://www.parks.wa.gov/parkpage.asp...Rasar&pageno=1 around 11. The park is just East of Sedro Wooley on the Mt Baker Hwy.
