I have spoken to both my dealer and to Mazda Canada. My car in "on rail" and expected in a week or two. Mazda Canada has told me that I am on a list of people who will receive the letter detailing my options regarding compensation for the HP downgrade.

For those people who have pre-ordered and not received their cars yet, I would suggest you call Mazda Canada and make sure that you're on the list. I had to supply my VIN and the name of the dealership I had ordered from. If you don't have a VIN yet, try to get your SON (sold order number) from your dealer. The SON is like a VIN to a dealer.

My dealer told me today that Mazda Canada has instucted them to provide a list of RDR's (registered RX-8's) by 4:30 August 26th. I suppose that Mazda will be using these dealer lists to establish the mailing lists for the letters which are supposed to be going out this week.
