Any east Tennessee 8's out there?

 

Hi, I am the (still very happy ) owner of an RX-8GT Titanium Grey with Black Leather and nav. in Knoxville TN. I would like very much to talk with other East TN owners. I havn't checked the forum in a couple of days, and am having a slight case of shock over the resent events that I am only now learning about. I will most defenitly be keeping my car but wow!

 

Hi. I'm keeping my car as well. I'll take the 5 bills and service, yes!!!. The one that complain the most about the HP are the ones that will probably rice them out anyway. Check out the thread in "RX8 Dicusion" (Little Things). Did you get yours at Twin City? I'm starting to see a few more around. There is a Titanium that sits where I work in Oak Ridge, That is only other one I see on a regular basis. If we get a few more, a gathering and tour somewhere would be fun.

 

I got mine at Mazda Knoxville, for MSRP - the new grad discount. Thay are asking for a $700 "premium" now and I have heard from a friend that they arn't to eager to alow test drives. On the day my friend went by there were 5 on the lot. Your Idea about getting a bunch of 8's together saounds great!

 

I should be getting my winning blue RX-8 this weekend.. granted that it gets to nashville in time.. it is scheduled to be here this week and I am still waiting on it to arrive.. if it gets here this week I will pick it up on Saturday..... so if you are around the Farragut area you should be seeing a winning blue with full factory aero kit, spoiler, polished rims... and of course the grand touring package.. and if you see a younger guy driving it.. then thats ok.. it ME.. and I don't plan to rice it out.. the 6 speed should be just fine for me for a while...a meet would be good.. keep me posted

I don't live in Knoxville anymore, but I will be there this weekend with my new 8. Lets all meet up somewhere in Knoxville and show off our cars.

 

It would be better to meet out west somewhere. UT football traffic is crazy. We'll probably be watching the game as well, so any time before 3:00 pm would be good.

 

Hey guys lets get together, I am very interested in a photo op of different colors, and a rep of east Tenn. I would like to suggest a scheduled drive of the smokeyes. I would like to also meet local people who have a common entrust ( RX8)

 

I have brilliant black and love it. I've had mine about a month.
I got an automatic, which was really hard to find. No one in Knoxville was helpful, so I called around everywhere till I found exactly what I wanted and drove to Johnson City to get it off the truck.

I've seen every color in Knoxville but green.

 

Sounds greaat name a time and place to meet . It's kind of hard to get schedules to match, but I'd like to try.

 

A meet sounds great.. but unfortunatly I still do not have mine. It was supposed to be here the last week of August.. but has not shown up yet.. I am getting a little perturbed about it... I have my deposit on a winning blue 6 speed... It is getting harder and harder to keep waiting on it... but still let me know where the meet will be and I might just have to drive my MX-6 and see all the nice 8's .....

 

If you don't mind me asking, where are you getting yours from? My daughter saw a blue at Mazda of Knoxville over the weekend.

 

getting it from Nashville.... I wanted all the added options like the polished wheels, factory aero kit, spoiler, and GT package and I found one at a dealer in their online inventory.... I don't think I would want to buy one from Knoxville.... I am getting a really good deal on it and I think I am paying for it by waiting... ohh well.. it will be worth it the lue one at Mazda Knoxville was an automatic too.. I couldn't handle that.. I went to look at it so I could see the color up close and personal...
