It looks like a Porsche Boxster/Cayman gauge cluster. Since everyone knows the Boxster came out in 1997, one can only assume Mazda copied Porsche.

well, from what it seemed like to me, he was looking for people to talk about how much this new car (a cayman, no doubt) looks to be designed after an 8. people didn't exactly answer how (i think) he wanted them to. just my opinion, i dunno.

 

Well, that would be all fine and good if this gauge cluster wasn't first put into production by porsche 9 years ago. Perhaps he wanted us to talk about the lazy designers at Mazda who ripped it off?

 

i know the boxters have had 'em for quite a while, but i kinda thought since he was using pics of a brand new car that he was trying to show otherwise.

 

the sideview mirrors are also positioned in a similar location on the rx-8.
