Drive a Ford GT, Ferrari F430. & Aston Martin DB9 and...
Bentley Continental GT, Lambo Gallardo, and the Vette Z06.
I signed up for a spot at their Chicago visit in June. They will be bringing these beauties to many locations throughout 2006.
Check them out at www.wcdriving.com
I came across the opportunity from their full-page ad in the last issue of Car & Driver. Be prepared to part with $800 bucks for the opportunity. You get a minimum of 30 minutes driving each of these cars through the day.
For me, this is a dream come true.

Still...thats really kick ***!! Congrats! Im sure there are many guys out there who would sacrifice a limb for that experience (or $800)

I like your thinking BlueEyes, but I sent them an email to see if they are coming to a city near me. I think for the opportunity to drive all of the cars the same day would be worth it, especially from a comparison standpoint. Now my wife letting me do it, is an entirely different story. I can just hear it now... "Yes of course WE can do that" ...so it would cost me double. Hmmm maybe I don't tell her

The comparison is what I am really stoked about. It will help me figure out if the Z06 is truley in the same league as the other exotics, and may help me decide I need one! Owning any of the others is unlikely....
I seen that same ad in Car and Driver. You drive each of them for 30 miles not 30 minutes. I wish they would have done this last year. I could've actually done it, I got too many bills this year. Kinda sucks, they're gonna be in St. Louis which is only a 1 hour drive from where I live.
Agenda attached
This next Saturday is my big day in Chicago. Will be flying there on Friday.
The only thing better than doing this, is if I had the ability to own them.

I'm curious as to which public roads they let you loose on. Their website says that speed limits must be obeyed, no dangerous driving, etc.
I'm wondering if for $800 + tax whether people will even get a chance to come close to a quick blast to triple digits or whether they'll lead the pack in a 65 mph train.
Those who signed up, please post all your impressions of the event. (And make sure to rub it in if you got the chance to run the Gallardo or F430 to 150
)

Back home after a quick trip to the north.
Rating on 1-10 scale === 10, for sure.
I have never driven anything like these cars, they were truly worth the price of admission. There was some disappointment -- the Ford GT had been busted up by some goober, and The Astin Martin DB9 got over-revved by another idiot, so those rides were not available.
What I did drive was, in this order:
Corvette Z06
Ferrari F430
Porshe Carrera 911
Maserati convertible
Lamborghini Gallardo
Bentley GT
I was surprised by the Z06. Did not expect it to be as well rounded as it was. It does compete with cars costing twice as much.
They plan on offering this next year at varying locations, so keep a lookout in your favorite car mag if interested.
