Does anyone out there know if it's a simple mod to make a Canadian car (no tpms ofcourse) able to read tpms??? I have a set of used oems with tpms and wonder if it's a simple mod in the fuse box or somewhere to make the car know they are there. I really don't want to go to the dealer or waste any real cash on it as I am intending to sell them when I change the tires shortly.
Thanks
Thanks
Why would you want to do this? Take out the TPMS and sell them here. You cannot easily make a Canadian non-TPMS car read US TPMS sensors. The ECU would need to be changed plus there is a " main unit " deep inside the dash for TPMS.

That's why I am asking. I have a second set of oems with tpms and if it's a simple wire connection somewhere, I would do it (the guts of systems are sometimes in cars because it's easier to have all the cars done the same way with a minor wire disconnect in the factory before shipment around the world). If it's a complex change, forget it ofcourse. According to you it's a little complex so case closed. If you are correct, then thanks.
