A friend of mine was at the races in Dallas this weekend and said he saw a yellow RX8 run a 12.3 at 111 with exhaust and a 75 shot of nitrous. He believes the RX8 was from RX7.com.

 

that guy is insane, hope hes got a lot of miles.

 

i'd like to see pics or articles to back that *** up...if its true..thats pretty fuggin cool...but 12's??hmmm i don't think on a 75 shot..mayber more like 13.5's...thats still fast but more reasonable..

 

Saw a yellow 6sp pretty stripped "it had cloth"with about 4500 miles on it at MIR run a 13.23 @106 with a 50 shot exhaust and some comp mods.Mian reason im keeping my order in cause car has alot of potential.

Talked to him on Friday about logistics of coming out to SevenStock, and we got on the topic of his 8... he mentioned he raced a G35 when his was stock, and it was nose to nose... after he put on the NOS, it wasn't even a contest.

His first run in the 8, stock, without NOS was something like a 14.3. (please note, anyone else that gets 15's in an 8 is a slow driver... period.)

Look for some goodies from their store in a few months@

 

wow..thats pretty cool..do you know if he had any other modifications besides the nitrous? Are the internals stock?? Can the stock motor handle the nitrous..btw..sorry for the noob questions...answers please..

 

if he says he got 14.2 the first time out stock he lies,peroid.i wont call myself a pro dragracer but am very consitant in my 9 sec camaro.you can call me slow,i dont mind, but there is no way this car would run that time on stock tires,i may beleave a low 14 sec on some drag radials but on stock tires i would have to see to beleave.bern,i hope you prove me wrong and i just havent learned the launch tech and 6sp for this car yet but mine with stock tires is a consitant 15.2. imo you may get that 1 sec in the first 330 ft with traction.
