washing/waxing/sealant out of order

So I finally got around to washing my car - turns out there a hose and a drain in the very bottom of my parking garage. I washed it with Macguier's (sp?) and gave it a coat of Klasse all-in-one and then a coat of the klasse sealant stuff.

When I got it into the sunlight the next day, there were a lot of squirly marks where I hadn't buffed out the sealant properly. I'd like to give it another coat of sealant - supposedly you can do lots of and lots of coats of it, and I like the idea of having as much of it between my paint and the elements as possible.

My question is, do I need to wash it properly before hand, so I don't rub dirt into the paint? The Klasse instructions say to wait 12-18 hours between coats of sealant, but can I wait even longer than that? If use quick detailing spray (I have a bottle of the macguier's) to clean off an area before I apply another coat of the sealant, is that enough?

greasy8-do you have a black car- if so, wash the car again very thourougly, and do 2 coats of the Klasse allinone -wait a day between applications. I have the sealant but don't use it very often because it seems to show every little swirl mark espescially on black.

thanks for the advice. I do have a black car, and I'm starting to really see why people perfer the dark silver color instead :P

I'm actually more interested in the protective properties of the sealant than in the appearance - my car's a daily driver so most of the time it's not going to look perfect and I'm okay with that.

My OP is a little misleading - it's not actually swirly marks so much as just some hazy-looking areas where I didn't buff the sealant enough. It comes right off with a little rubbing and little quick detail spray. What I'm really wondering is how long I can wait before I put another coat on, given that I'm driving the car in the meantime. It still looks nice and clean, but I don't want to accidentally grind dirt into the paint.

Grapes, when you do your second coat of allinone, do you wash or rinse it again? Do you drive it at all between coats?

(sorry for all the dumb questions, btw - the first car I've owned that's actually worth worrying about like this)
