Let's have a new sub-forum called " The Pissing Sub- Forum" where all those interesting in pissing contests and insulting others could vent.

Moderators could move 'pissing contests' to the subforum - leaving the useful exchanges to those of us who want to exchange ideas, gather information and debate in a civil manner the topic at hand.

Perhaps after having 10 posts moved to sub-forum - the member gets a three-day suspension.

Various sub-sub-forum could be developed - The Infantile SubForum, etc.

It might reduce the number of times I visit a forum to find these contests going on.

 

Oh and of course the posts in the sub-forum do not count as part of total posts - for those whose posting seems to be centred around the volume not the quality.

lol... we had this on one of my local forums for a few years. Anytime threads got out of hand, the drama would be moved to its own thread in the forum called "The Soaps", so they could continue their bickering while the rest of us sat back and laughed at them. I really think it's a good idea... Just call it something more family-friendly.

 

Guess that makes both of us purveyors of "the dumbest idea yet"

But still think a place out of the sun is where the pissers should be ...

you're dumber than I thought if you didn't realize it was a joke I believe we should impliment a "Too Dense For Sarcasm" forum before a Pissing Off forum

Calling someone's suggestion " dumbest" or their intelligence "dumber than I 'thought'" is not sarcasm. Clearly it should end up in the "Simply Insults Sub Forum"

Suggesting a "Too Dense For Sarcasm" Forum is sarcasm - and the idea clearly comes from a deep 'knowledge' base. That's sarcasm again.

Finally itsn't this fun - these's so many possibilities in the Pissing SubForum.

 

So true - I do say the Pissing Sub Forum could end up being the life of the party - leaving the other forums for their intended purpose. "Tongue in cheek' so it's not said I do not understand certain types of humour.

 

As silly as that idea is, I actually like it! Unfortunately too many people would use it as an excuse to personally insult and flame others (in a not so sarcastic manner) so it wouldn't work, but it is funny.

Perhaps we need a repost subforum as well. Anytime we see a repost, we add it to the already existing ones. If you don't know if it has been posted before, check the repost forum.

The repost forum idea is interesting - perhaps would reduce the fragmentation of ideas and input into several different threads. Sure are a lot of flooding threads just for example.

 

I think it would be easier for the admins to just delete the pissing contest posts than to move them to a new thread in another section...

The repost section however is indeed a good idea.
