Ok i want to put my clarion 7in flip out screen cd/dvd player into my rx-8, im told i have to get the dash kit custom made from fiberglass to do this.... is there a company who makes aftermarket dash kits for a 2004 rx8??? please help cause the custom work is going to be around 250 dollars ouch, dont wanna spend it if not nessicary. There is nothing listed at Crutchfield or any other place I've looked. My guess is there isn't one yet.

 

Nope, since you can't remove the stock HU without losing AC controls there's no easy place to put a new HU. Check out the Audio and Electronics section for what some members have done.

 

You could mount the screen/DVD player somewhere else and get the PIE (I think that's what it's called) adapter. Just a thought.

It is from Rmagic and runs alot more than a $250 custom job and doesn't
look factory enough for me.
