Sorry guys....I had to TRADE IN.

I needed more space, upscale, and comfort while still retaining some sport. I wanted an SUV so that I could accomodate being a new home owner tote things around and accomodate a large German Shepherd. I got an awesome deal on this Porsche. Some love it some hate it, as for me I'm blown away by it. Tried the BMW X5, Infiniti FX45, and Lincoln Aviator. This was by far the best of the bunch.

Cayenne S. The RX-8 will be sorely missed, but I'm enjoying the new ride alot.

If I was going to own another SUV, that's the one I'd own.

Nice choice, Shaolin. Best color for that ride, too.

Thanks guys....

I'll still be hanging around here alot. rennlist.com is pretty snooty and I enjoy this board alot, and I'm hooked on rotary. I will own another someday, just some things take more priority for me right now.

Hope you guys don't mind an suv driver around here

The only thing wrong with that picture is that there's a three car garage, so in theory there's still room for the RX-8... ;-)

Hahahaha I wish...

This car impresses me with how it packs so much luxury into one package while still being sporty and stylish all at the same time. It truely is the Porsche of SUV's. I got every option except air suspension...didn't really see the justification for the cost.

The jack of all trades SUV...alot like a certain rotary sports car...

You do what you have to do...no shame, but you will miss the 8.

By the way who owns the S2K? Why not be practical and sell that instead...lol

Nice ride, take more pictures (inside) please...

Take care and of course you don't need to go anywhere.

LOL. Yeah, from a practical view point, RX-8 > S2K.

I test drove a Cayanne a few years back and they are nice. I used to own a Mercedes ML55 AMG, but sold it. It was fast, but SUV's just can't handle. While the Cayanne is better, I am convinced that for those wanting sports car handling, an SUV will never cut it. When I buy a Porsche, it will either be a 911 or a Cayman S.

For upscale SUVs, I like the Range Rover. But there's something about the MB G-class that's really attractive in a fugly kind of way.

Anyway, congrats on your new purchase.

You were probably right to get rid of the Ti RX8 before the curse took hold and someone smashed in to you

wow thats not a trade it's an upgrade

No slouch in the acceleration department, but I guess going to the cayenne you could tell 8 owners to quit bitching about mileage.

hmmm, the cayenne is the only porsche I'd like to own.

Yes, I understand how ridiculous that sounds......

Very nice trade, enjoy it!

I've been averaging 15 mpg around town and anywhere from 18 to 20 on the freeway according to the onboard "command center." Mileage isn't too bad considering the vehicle...

And yes, I don't see why you'd want a Cayenne over a Carrera GT....well unless you reaally need the utility like I do...

I've heard/read somewhere that those are notoriously bad for reliability and always needing repairs.

Yep, it was the vehicle with the most problems in consumer reports last year.

That's probably where I saw it, then.
