How to take care of the black plastic grills?

What are you folks doing to keep the front black grill vent or the side grills spiffy?

I'm getting hard water white rings in the holes...

When I used to work as a detailer, we used silicone spray and a lint-free rag.

Zaino Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss works pretty well:

Looks good on all the exterior black plastic, but doesn't last more than a couple weeks.

I use 'Simoniz Back To Black' for this kind of job but I've no idea if you can buy it in the USA.

I'm sure these are great products, but how would you apply it? I can't see poking a towel or something through every hole in the grill. Or maybe that's the only way?

Back to Black is an aerosol spray. You just spray it on the plastic and it changes the colour back to a darker version. I use it for my whole rear plastic bumper but it's good for small areas too.

If you're a motorcycle dude, like me, head over to your Honda shop and pick up a can of Honda cleaner and polish. It's silicone based I believe, but is easy to spray on and wipe off. You can probably use it on your grill since I can use it on my entire bike. It does a great job of cleaning up bugs and such, is only about $5 a can and makes future clean up easier. One can lasts for quite a while.
