Some **** *** , came up to my car today and stole my fender strakes.


I'm guessing it was couple hours ago because i had them on last night. Iv bin sick all day in bed.

There is only 1 other RX8 down here in pasaena that i know of and his RX8 does not have strakes and he lives couple blocks down.

I also have marked my strakes with a black pen so i know if there mine or not .

Dang... Did all 4 of them got stolen? (How much do strakes cost anyways?) I know that high school kids/ teenagers like to steal easily removable items off cars and either use them as key chains or put them on their own cars- 'cuz they dont' have money to buy them. If strakes pop right off, then that will always be a risk if you park outside or on the street. One of my neighbors had one of the side view mirrors stolen off his 330i, since they pop right out also. $100 part + $50 labor to install at the bmw dealer. Sorry to hear about that.

 

Well i mean I bought them from Fred ( Fanman ) for 50 bucks. He bought some polished ones and didnt need them anylonger..


I just dont really want to Dish out 100+ for strakes. I dont understand WHAT would give them a reason to steal it. people are so retarded.



OH AND GET THIS! about 20 mins ago I was outside lookin showing my friends what was stollin from me. AND i see my neighbor walking his 2 dogs which he does all the time around this time. AND i see a group of dumb ***** in there accord heading right tords him and as he came with in couple of yards he pulls to the right. My friends and i just look at them while they just laugh and drive away.

don't even worry about it man..the 8 looks better without strakes anyway...to me, strakes don nothing but interrupt the lines of the car...IMO

 

Personally, I like the clean look without the strakes also. But, the point is that his property was stolen and his car violated by a bunch of punk kids...

Maybe a car cover might be a good investment- for when you won't be driving for the day or so? They'll likely pick an easier target if there are people around...

 

well, that fricken sucks... but i wouldnt say you marked them because now they (the punk vandles (if they are on the forums)) are going to try to remove the markings...

damn... did they just pull it off the car? I didn't know they were that easy to get stolen once you screw them on from the inside. Sorry man.

 

^^ im guessing they just PULLED it right off. There are finger prints on my car were the strakes go. Its pretty sad.
