passing VA inspection with RP super cat

Question passing VA inspection with RP super cat

thinking about getting one. does anyone know whethe or not you will be able to pass the state inspection? and does anyone actually has it on their car?

Here's a link to what they actually inspect. They do have cats on the list, but since we don't have an emissions test, I can't see why an aftermarket converter wouldn't pass. A lot of this has to depend on the inspector since there are passed cars on the road with illegal tint or sticker collections on the rear window.

in Northern Va we have to pass emmision every two years. so I guess I was asking the wrong question? it should be whether or not it will pass the emission.

not sure about this, so don't quote me on it. but i think they'll just visually check to see if you have a cat installed and check to see if any lights are on your dash. if everything is ok they won't bother with the sniffer. guess i wasn't much help.

doubt they'll put the 8 on the sniffer since it's an OBDII car. they'll just plug into the OBDII datalog and check stored data and pass/fail you
