Exclamation fix for sale

could we put a post count limit on people selling in the for sale forum?????? this would cut down on the scams (airbags, parting out car, friend selling... @hotmail.com) and people selling rims from what ever car they have that fits a rx8.

i suggest 50 posts. enough to make them work and few enough for people to learn the site.

i have had a post removed because i was selling a gps receiver. not an rx8 part. well i feel that i have posted enough and used the receiver in my rx8. kinda like selling sub boxes, not really a rx8 part, but used in one. i really think anyone who is commited to this site should be able to sell anything rx8 related!!!

i think if we use a minimum post count the problem will police itself.

just my opinion, i could be wrong.

I don't believe the forum can be setup that way

but if so I'm all for it

although there are some guys who never post in the post countable sections who have been around forever and I'd buy from them over a 100 post count 3 month old in a heartbeat

Personally i don't think it matters, if someone wants to get away with a scamming, all they have to do is work at it. They'll do it either way...It'll just make it a little more difficult =)

its true - if that's all it takes to be able to post, you'll get new members posting like mikeb with responses like "looks great" and "nice car" just to build up the post count until they would meet the requirement.

It's easy to enforce - just make the forum moderator work - delete each thread made by somebody with fewer than 50 posts.

ta-dah! :D

i agree ^

If people are 10 away, they will start posting things left and right, about nothing filling the forum with useless junk. Its a good idea, I would like to see it where you have to have an account at least a year, and you have to be active on the forum. lets say at least 1 post a month. A scammer is not going to sign up and remember a year from now to come on here and sell crap.

I think it's fine. Just dont be dumb and you wont get scammed. If a seller's post count is indicative of their trustworthiness in your opinion, then don't bid/buy.
