Sorry, I wont be able to make this one. My car is spending the day in the shop. Brakes, all fluids and safety checks for the Nats. I'm getting excited!

I am riding Dockland - Queenscliff - Sorrento - Dockland (210km)

I get panic riding up Mt Martha (just pass Dromana), after 150km. Well maybe diff distance this time. Mornington bay side is nice too. please

I would be interested in a cruise (15/10 Sat) too. Count me in.

 

I'm a maybe, but not down the peninsular. I'm more of a chance to make it if it's City or Docklands.

 

I am doing the around the bay on the sunday as well. Next year we can make an RX8 team at this rate.
Saturday is a bike expo down at Docklands where I have to go to collect my "Free Bike" for the Great Victorian Bike Ride in November. Unfortunately I can't bring the RX8 as it wont fit the bike in.
If you want to meet around Docklands I can ride my new bike over to meet for coffee :D
I am going sorrento-queenscliff so if you see a yellow puffball with red face going the other way slowly GIVE ME A WAVE.

I have ridden both ways before and think Dromana first is much easier as long as the wind is with you going along the Geelong Road, any thoughts?

 

I always wants to go hard first, the long way first before ferry - this year it is about 100km after the ferry and it will be tough. The fact that I know the last 45km extremely well - from Frankston to City - so I know I will be ok when I get to Frankston.

I think the cruise is gettng harder and harder - I need to ride to Dockland for the jersey and ride number Saturday morning - so the morning will be busy :D.

Why don't we have a coffee at the dockland? It is for the other 2 nats comers to meet and greet.

 

I'm in a (work) team for ATB, so won't go to pick up things on Saturday (teams get jerseys/bibs issued together, so ours is being picked up on Wed).

I agree that the cruise is getting harder - maybe we should have a post-Nats one so those of us who couldn't make it to Wakefield get to hear about it all first-hand... plus I'll have my new wheels by then LOL
