screen painting...

I'm assuming this is the right section........

I just bought the Racing Beat oil cooler and condensor screens and was wondering what kind of paint should be used for painting them? How many coats?

thanks all

Sam

I just bought a can of regular spray paint. Nothing special.

But, it does start chipping from road debris after awhile. Even though it chips, you can barely that they are chipping.

I used some rustolium that I had in the garage and put on at least two or three coats. It is hard to get all angles on the first pass.

They have been on for over 18000 miles and I can't see many chips.

I only did the oil cooler screens. The condensor screen doesn't show.

I left mine as-is and I think they look great. Gives the car a "finished" appearance in the front instead of the bare coolers showing.

put 2 coats of some run of the mill spray paint on mine as well - seems to work good so far after a few months now. The unpainted color was just to showy on a black car....
