Dealer Installed New Brake Pads...

The squeak is gone (for now), but the braking power seems diminished... Is this just because they're new? My car's only got 4120 miles, but maybe my "old" ones had "worn in" or something? I went through the "bedding" procedure just now on the way home, just to get started on the right foot... :D

If they did not resurface the rotors it is possible that the new pads will take a few hundred miles to mate to the rotors.

My dealer replaced the front pads and both rotors under warrantee at 20K miles when I brought my car in for the two recent recalls. I noticed longer stopping distances for a couple days but now they seem fine.
