I bought my Rx-8 in early december....since then i have never had a car in the shop for then this d@mn car....

First with the engine flooding....which I can understand because I wasnt aware of turning the car on and off like that....

(2) But since then my damn clutch pedal broke ( 1 week )

(3) Next my engine light came on....(about 2 days)

(4) Then a week later my engine and airbag light came on.... I had to get a new pcm and a pin was missing or somethen like that from the airbag.... (1 week)

(5) The next day after I picked up my car the same damn engine and airbag lights came on again. This time it was a texture leak whatever that is and the same airbag they fixed before wasn't installed right , plus the 2 recalls. ( 3days)

So I went to pick my car up yesterday because they called and told me it was ready so my girlfriend dropped me off and left. When I got there I signed the papers and waited outside for a half hour to pick up my car, for them to tell me it wasnt ready because they signed the airbag off without installing it and the airbag module wont be in for a week since they didn't even place the order in yet .

Now im stuck there cuz you have to be 21 for a rental car and im still 20, and I like just about a half hour away from there. I wound up signing my car off and driving it without airbags cuz I didn't have any other way to get home or around.

OBT MAZDA SUCKS.... Everytime I go there they mess somethen else up....by the way my engine light came back on today so I will be there for the 6th time.... !! WHAT SHOULD I DO !! im considerin' buying another car...

If the car is giving you that many problems... you probably got a bad production batch. I dunno. Maybe you just got shafted with one model out of millions that's cursed to go wrong? ^^ You're the first person that I heard about having this many problems in just under a year. So if it's not a common problem... I dunno what's wrong. Maybe you can look into the lemon law?

 

you might want to check Florida's lemon law. I know here in SC, if a new car has that many problem, you are entitle to a new car or a refund.

 

Did you buy new or used?

You didn't figure that out just when they were selling you the car? I wouldn't buy a car from them let alone have them service it.

Go elsewhere. You are going to one of the worst dealerships on this or any other planet.

 

I bought the first RX-8 from this dealership and I get my car serviced there and have never had a problem. What gas do you put in your car? If you put cheap gas (racetrack,Hess...) that might trigger the engine light. I recommended this dealership to my friend who bought one and has not had any problem with the service department. Who was your service technician

 

My neighbor has bought Mazdas there out of blind loyalty (misplaced since they are always ripping him off). They have never even done an oil change without screwing up (torn upholstery, greased headliner, door dings, dripping oil). Finally convinced him to drive an extra 30 minutes and he too will never go back there.

 

I bought the car used...and yea I don't believe it is the car i think it's the tech's working on the vehicle...because i had the car for about 4 straight months without a problem... until I had to go there to get the engine drained....

 

you've answered your question. The problem here is the Dealer which you take your car to NOT Mazda or their RX-8 engineers.

go to a different dealer.

 

So yea.... I dropped my car off on thursday because they called me and told me that my airbad I need arrived... So I went there and dropped it off.. from there on bs to bs...long story short , they kept my car there for 3 days to tell me the airbag was mispackaged...

Honestly, if you called me in to tell me the part arrived, I bring it in for the appointment scheduled... and you tell me 3 days later side airbag recieved is mispackaged..and im going to have to wait another week for it... wtf !!!
