I am curious to find out who has driven the most miles on a RX8 yet? Can you reply with year and miles on your RX8? Also can you shed some light on the performance (increase or decrease) you might have noticed?

I have put on 17,000 miles in a year and I think I have gained 1 HP for every mile I have driven...........

on the way in to work today i hit 7200 miles. Picked up the car on 5/24 this year. Its an 04/05 Build. Thats 84 miles a day! Although 3600 of those miles were from a road trip a month after I got the car (FL to IN and back for the F1 race) so its more like 42 miles a day that I really drive.

Been into the dealer 1 time, for the first service (free) and to have the button on the center console fixed (free) and the 'Heat Recall/Flash' done. I did the first oil/filter change myself at 3k miles, then at 6k had the dealer do the 5k service (oilchange,filter, inspect....ect) when I get to 9k miles I am going to switch to all SYN fluid in the Eng. Trany and Diff. Didnt want to change to soon, and dont want to change to late...I think 9k is enough time for the engine to brake in before I make the switch

32,000 miles . . . runs like it always has on M; didn't like L too much.

 

33K miles...seemed to have more power with a couple of the older flashes. Got the R today...seems smoother, but less pull. Will have to try it out a bit more to really make a sound judgement.

Otherwise the car has been great. No stalls, no burps (other than a bad flash put in by my last dealer)...

 

One year old 9/6, just hit 3,000 miles weekends only.
