Weekend Vacation - 3.5MB+ of pics (mostly of my car in locations :) )
Thurday morning my wife and I dropped our kids with my mother, and drove for a few days motoring on Washington State's Olympic Penninsula. Our Bed and Breakfast was in a city named "Sequim, WA" (Pronounced 'skwim'). The folks at Red Caboose Bed and Breakfast were quite hospitable. Just after registration, the owner - Olaf, came out to look at the 8. First thing he said was 'I love how those back doors work!' After showing him around the car for a bit, we parked next to caboose #2 - Before I got the bags out, Olaf walked up and asked to peer under the hood.

Underexposed

The feeling of being without the kids is pretty amazing - you parents reading may know what I mean. We didn't have to plan anything. We had time to simply do everything or nothing we chose. No cutting up food for a todler, no having to listen to a 6 year old whine about 'are we there yet'.
We drove around the Bay, and found a very nice, quite boat launch.

My wife making an obscene jesture

apropos?

En route to another marina area...

There

Another Marina - No rx8 content...but I liked the shot...

One of my favourite shots...

What's more fun than a wine-tasting

Sadly, we had to head home today - These were taken along Hwy101 - those in Oregon or CA would know this road...runs along the 'Pacific Coast'...and is a 'highway' hehe

That's all y'all would care about - in the least. Thanks for looking/reading.

here's one video - videos are generally boring - but I found it pretty neat how much of my Audio system's bass made it thru onto the recording...it's just a Canon A75 digital camera doing the work.
~7mb, Right-click, Save Target As - for best results. 37 seconds in duration...
uploading now - so if you read this within a couple minutes of my posting, the vid may not be there yet

thanks folks
I keep a california duster in the car on trips - that helps a LOT. :D
Also, both the plate and the speedometer were edits. I was going 62mph...and the plate 'isnt' 000-000 in real life. :D

Mazda North America now has visual proof that you have exceeded 100 mph and have voided your warranty. j/k
Ditto on the clean car comments. I thought I spied a speck of dust in one of your pictures but it turned out to be on my monitor.
And the "obsence gesture" your wife is making is her telling you to put your pants back on after wading in the water to get the shot of the car on the boat ramp.
Looks like you had a great time. Very nice photos. Thanks for sharing.

Take note of the Tach - that's my 'out'... heheAnd I'd wade thru high water for the chance of a good pic any day
Great shots DMP! You have a nice eye w/the camera. The country looks much better w/a little Mazda in it! I'll show these to my wife, see if I can get her to ride in my new addiction. She would rather stay w/the kids at this point!!
