Yes, but Basics aren't going to rattle the whole car apart in 20k miles or anything. From what we've seen (heard?) thus far on our Tein Basic equipped car, there hasn't been a dramatic increase in rattles over the 5k miles they've been on. And the car has 24k very, very hard miles on it. You occasionally hear a creak from the structure in hard driving or just after, but otherwise it's tight.
In other words, if you are truly that worried about rattles in the car, you may not be the best candidate for an aftermarket suspension. Preformance has its compromises, and a firmer ride with potentially more creaks and rattles from the car in the long run is one of those compromises. If you want a better handling RX-8 though, install those Basics
