Start tonight. I guess they are back on. Does anyone else watch the car shows on Speedchannel, TNN (powerblock), and Discovery channel? Fun shows.
p.s. Sorry that this is in the RX-8 Media news thread. Just clicked on the wrong heading.

i have caught it a few times, I get a little ticked off about how the mod cars, the rx8 they had (1st episode i think) there wasnt many parts out for it, so they put on some decals on the sides and a 50 shot of nitrous. Then later they had a SRT4 that they did a full turbo/intercooler swap and dyno tuned ECU for 400whp.
Some of the cars they spend 12k on other they spend 2k on, they should do equal work on all the cars...not make one car an ultimate street machine with a fully built engine and the next car a show car with a big body kit, wheels and an intake.

The problem with that RX-8 was that it was a new show and there wasn't much out for the 8 yet. They would of been better off with the RX-7. The hosts are a little irritating sometimes, the one guy always looks like he is stoned. The show throughout the season got better though and they finally started showing the viewers a base line and then what the mods did as far as numbers go.

it just doesn make sense, it also seems that a lot of the time they just bolt a bunch of parts on then take the car out.
i laugh my *** of when they show the cost brakedown and its something like 6k bucks. then they do the before and after test on their little course (parking lot) and it gained like .1 sec 0-60, and 2 feet in braking.
Ive seen some good cars come out of there, and some bad cars, its an ok show.
my current hook on TV is the new show Over There, wen on FX and Dirty Jobs on Discovery.
I've met Jack Mac before. He's a really cool person to talk to and a great race car driver if I may add. He races in the Targa Newfoundland Rally annually. It was a bad idea to have the RX-8 on the show right after it hit the showroom floor. There was literally no aftermarket support and the car was still unknow to the general public. At least not as many as now.
