Hey guys, quick question, who makes the cf splitter that is on this RX8? Seen it somewhere before on the forum, but cannot find it

actually i dont know if these are CF, just assuming they are :p

 

Carbon Creations makes 'em.

 

Carbon Creations makes a set of REPLICA ones of those....

but the ones that are ON the Mazdaspeed RX8 are from Mazdaspeed...which are produced to sell to the public.

 

I don't believe MazdaSpeed has those. The US MazdaSpeed site doesn't list them and I can't find them on the Japanese one either.

 

Whoops i meant to say that they were NOT produced to sell to the public.. :p

 

the ones I saw on a friends car are just painted urethane, not carbonfiber, they look good, and suposedly they add a little downforce.

I think that they REALLY add to the agressive look of the MS kit, when i get the kit I will pick up a pair

 

I'd suggest not going with these splitters, unless you live in a really good neighborhood and don't plan on driving it near curbs and sidewalks. I can see some kids walking by and just break it by stepping on it. It's just begging for some person who hates our car to come by and break it. That's my opinion anyways.

 

like the little ******* who keep shoving candy wrappers in my exhaust. i'll get 'em one of these days.

i agree with the curbs thing, where i live the driveways dont have a low opening, its that rounded sytle of curb you drive up so if the car was lowered you had to go really slow, or it will scrape.

on the 2nd part, i know that there are people that will vandalize other propertys cause of who they are or what they have, rather than just confront the person, or keep to themselfs, thats part of life and i dont think that I should have to change the way i live or what i do.

mod your car if you want, and take the chances, IMO
