I have the Mazdaspeed replica and when i finish shaving the sidemarkers, its going to paint. My question is, if i have them spray it with an extra coat or 2 of clear, will that help prevent rock chips?

 

most of the time when i see rock chips in the paint, it has gone thru the clear and the paint straight thru to the metal. I dont think the extra coats of clear would do much, your not adding that much thickness to the paint. It also might make the front bumper not match the body as closely.

I would save the money and get some of the film they make those Clear Bra's out of and custom cut it to fit the MS bumper.
