New Magnaflow Catback

Yep...after all this time, the Magnaflow exhaust is here! And it's only (gasp) $1069.32. Now dont get me wrong, Magnaflow makes excellent systems but at that price the competition has nothing to worry about! What are they thinking???

Magnaflow lists them high but as a w.d. we get a pretty big discount as do others depending on the type of acct they have set up with magnaflow.

they're thinking that if you're dumb enough to buy it direct from them that they're smart enough to laugh all the way to the bank

Hmmmm....wonder what is different with the 'formal' Magnflow cat-back vs. the RX8Store's exhaust which uses Magnaflow cans? I have the RX8Store cat-back and extremely please with the quality moreso with the sound.

Don't have it. I was looking at it though as it is over at mazdatrix. Said the canisters are the smallest they have seen, but they weighed it & it still came in at like 37 lbs. (2 less than stock). Not much of a weight savings.

it wil be nice to see how the performance turns out though. and the sound counts too, magnaflow usually has a nice smooth quiter sound. and i would rather have that than something that weighs 10lbs less than stock and sounds like a civic with a coffee can muffler.

The canisters on my custom exhaust are Magnaflow. It is a deeper sound, and a nice smooth sound. It pops a lot, and sounds really good when at WOT. It is load though, not real quiet. Much louder than the RB setup. If I had a way to post a video, I would go shoot one. Since mine is a custom, it does not have the double wall tips like in the picture, mine are just stainless, that are bronzed from the heat. I love it.

EDIT:
Just went to the Magnaflow site, and Holy crap, they want almost $1100 dollars for that exhaust. That is insane!

$563 over at Mazdatrix. Also, I believe the RX8store exhaust is made using the Magnaflow mufflers.

I have the magnaflow exhaust on my car. Gives a good low sound. Nothing like the weedwhacker mufflers you will here on a civic. Check out the link below for pics. Trying to get some sound clips hooked up.
