Rock Chips on From Bumper

Does anyone have any problems with rock chips on their front bumper? I took my 8 out for a short trip and had 2 rock chip the paint work on the bumper.

Also noticed that the paint chips very easily on the front of the car.

Anyone has any ideas on circumventing this phenomena?

Ideas much appreciated.

Steve

The only real solution would be a 3M Clearbra for the front. It's kinda pricey and there have been some discussions here on it's effectiveness. And yes, the paint on the 8 is kinda soft. On another note, may I suggest some oil cooler guards to prevent rocks from damaging the oil coolers. These are not covered under warranty and can be costly to repair.

don't tailgate ..... a very bad habit to have ...... just ordered a bra from rosenthal mazda.

the 8 goes so fast that you get entrainment of tiny sand particles from the road surface acting like sandpaper...... much like a jet engine sucks a lots of stuff on the taxiway and runway.

i agree that the paint is kinda soft ..... already done the oil cooler mesh ..... very important thanks.

Sh@*#y Paint

I have more paint missing from the bumper of my 8 than an antique rocking chair.

I love my 8, but if this is what I can expect, I will never buy another mazda.

Even my old chevy and dodge kept their paint better than this.
