Lightbulb Colored strakes and fiberglass side vents

I bought my 8 in Sept of last year, and the only mod I've done so far is to wire my Dell Axim X50v into the stereo system with the PIE box. (I mounted it with the slanted passenger side mount from pro clips and I fed the wire to the audio input through the hole cover beside the glove compartment. It looks sweet, and I'll post pics if anyone is interested.) but I digress

I was wondering if anyone has done this combo, or if any aspiring photochoppers are willing to replicate it. I am thinking about putting these fiberglass vents from autobahn on my winning blue, and then installing the winning blue colored fender strakes on top of them. I have nothing against the regular strake setup, but I like being different, and I think this would be a nice change of pace. I'm just having a hard time picturing the finished product.

Not sure how the blue on blue would look. Might get lost. I would like to see pics of your Axim. I have a X30 that is doing nothing and that sounds like a good idea.

I'm not sure if you looked at the fiberglass side vents, but they are actually silver. I think the blue strakes would look pretty sweet with them. I'll post some pics of my interior setup this afternoon, but I'm still waiting to see if anyone has a picture of the combo I mentioned earlier.

The silver is nice. I'm just not sure the blue strakes would get lost in the overhang. The blue on silver looks good though. here is a link for carbon fiber vents if you like a different look.

The vents look like they might prevent the strakes from being installed....and personally I dont' think they look that good

I think the blue strakes on silver vent would look kinda neat. The blue wouldn't get lost b/c of the silver... and silver looks HOT on the blue. Maybe someone can do a photochop for you so you get a general idea of the finished product?

All prices in Canadian dollars

That would bring it down to around the going rate for strakes.

If you decide to get them just make sure you check out the shipping cost. It's free if they ship them to a business. 25 bucks to have them sent to your home Might be worth it if you know someone who has a garage.
