To those with MS style Urthane replica...

So, I'm 16 and I got my first car. I loved the car so much I was willing to get a beat up salvagable one an fix it. Its a base winning blue w/ navigation and appearance package. Anyways I planning on going with the MS front, skirts and leave the rear appearance package add-ons. I saw that dazygirl415 had the same and I love the look. So to my questions... My front is completely destroyed so I would like to know what is need for the front bumper to hold. Is it just the retainer and the bumper? Are urethane kits from MazdaParts.com/Rx8Garage.net is the same as the kits from rotaryextreme.com. When peoplw say the fitment is descent for the urethane kit, can you please state where it did not quite match?

Thanks

P.S. Excuse typo's, I dont re-read my posts.

Wow... I think this is the first time I've seen my name appear in such a positive way... :D Thanks!!

I can tell you what I know, but I'm sure other members can help out and correct me where I'm wrong. The MS bumper bolts on top just under the hood for sure. It may bolt on at the sides, but I'm not 100% sure. The fitment is "decent" as you say and the problems are around the headlamps it's not snug and the same near the side markers. Nothing terrible and I believe most body shops can do something to help this out.

I don't know if the kits are the same across the various websites, but I've heard the products sold by MazdaParts and RX8Garage are good quality and I got mine from Rotary Extreme.

Congrats on your first car. You'll love the 8 just like the rest of us. Be responsible and if you treat the car right, it'll be good to you. ZOOM-ZOOM!! :D

Thanks for the info dazygirl415. I hope to get my car up and running ASAP :D. Too bad I still have to break in the engine cause the car has 14 miles on it... No REAL zoom-zoom for the next 586 miles

Lol, pretty soon you'll be finding excuses to drive ANYWHERE just to get to 600 miles!

Holy crap someone wrecked after 14 miles??!! Damn that takes talent. Dude, just letting you know I commend you, allot of people on this forum have a problem with younger people owning this car (I'm 21) they believe that a young person can't appreciate this car because they haven't really earned it. But with you fixing it up from a wreck just because you love the car that should shut them up. I'm in the military and have earned my way every step. Some people don't that such things into account when they judge people. But like I said, good on ya man I wish you the best of luck with her!

I don't know if you use the stock foam w/the MS front. I lost all of my foam to the tree (and I tore up the left overs for stress relief). Sorry.

Side note: I don't have any foam and so far so good.
