Q: Re Warranty

Anyone got thier warranty booklet handy? I've gotten bring the "8" in to the dealer and get them to pull the code for the steering. Steering light came on again today (2nd time.) It may only be a loose electrical connection as per some owners, but I want to make sure.

Was curious if this is still covered under warranty even though I'm pretty sure it is. If no ones has is handy, then I'll check tonight when I get home.

FYI: I'm in a 2004 w/32000 on the odo.

I thought standard warranty was like 3 yr/60,000km bumper to bumper.

I'd say its definately covered.

I'll 3rd that motion!
I put it in yesterday morning to have them look at it.
They pulled the code/checked the connection and reset the computer so, there was no code. The service manager said, that if the light comes on again, they are going to replace the unit.

Well, last night on my way home, the steering fault light came on again. So I'm going to make another appointment for her to go in early next week. I need the car this weekend for a wedding. I'll keep you guys posted.

I have been having the same problem - but with the auto headlight leveling warning coming on. Took it to the dealer - they couldn't find anything wrong. They plugged it into the computer, but no error codes were logged. The light still comes on every once in a while - usually when the headlights are off - just the daytime running lights. Go figure

I had my power steering completely fail at 5000km. Turned out it was a faulty ECM module. Since we were on a road trip Mazda Roadside Assistance paid for 2 nights accomodation plus meals, no questions asked!
