My rear brake pads have just about reached the end of their lives (25k) -- I think the fronts would have if I didn't get the free replacement for squeaking, and I am thinking about replacing them with something upgraded. What does everyone think of the Mazda B-spec pads? I think they're about $140 on Trussville's site.

Or would you recommend another kind, and which kind?

I'm running Porterfield R4-S brakes all around now. Much increased stopping power, almost 0 brake dust. I've used their brakes on every car i've owned, they are the best for the street in my opinion.

 

I think he is refering to MazdaSpeed B spec pads

They are working from 0-600 degree. A touch better than the same level Hawk or EBC.

I refer the above 2 brands the inferior (poor man's) pad in Australia.

I like to get Project mu Level 900 or the Endless that goes from 0-700 degree C.

I am totally biased and people know me as a "trackie". I go to track days more than 5 times a year. So I will put track pads on. MazdaSpeed is good since it lasts, tracks well and yet just a touch of noise on the street --- you bearly hear it until you wind down the windows with radio off.

 

WHere did you order them from? Porterfield site doesn't seem to list them.
