Question where to buy in Ottawa/area?

So, I'm currently looking to buy for July, but havent nailed down which dealership for sure to deal with. I have been to 4 that I know of in the Ottawa area, just wondering if there is anyone with any suggestions to which dealership to deal with and other advice. Also, a dealership that is easier to get financing with would take higher precedence on my list.

Thanks

I don't really have any dealer preference. I bought mine at performance and don't really like the deal I got. I did have a better experience with argus on St Joseph blvd in Hull a few years back when I bought my miata.

If you're worried/concerned about your credit, you might have better luck going through your own financial institution.

A guy here at my work has a Blue 8 that he got at Argus, and he highly recommends them too. He got a great deal on his '04 just as the '05s were about to come out.

When I went, they didn't even seem interested in showing me the car, just the paperwork. I was there for about an hour, and I was sitting at the dealers desk the whole time. He never even showed me the car....

I bought a 2004 GT from Bank Street Mazda a few weeks ago - though based on my experience with the sales group, I wouldn't recommend them. I have to say the finance guy, Mike, was very professional, but the rest of the sales team is lacking. And forget any after sales service from the sales team... once they have your money that's it! A few days after I picked up my car, I received a very nice email from the general sales manager, who stated in his email if I had any questions about my car, he would be "happy to do anything" to make sure that I am completely satisfied. So I sent him an email back with a question about the previous service history for my car (it was a Mazda executive demo). I am still waiting for a response. It has been more than two weeks and I am not satisfied.... nuff said!

Mazda Canada Credit will give just about anyone with a pulse a lease! If you are planning on buying you may be limited - I'm pretty sure that Mazda Canada's finanace programs are done with Scotiabank. Banks will just want a reasonable downpayment if your credit is suspect.

I live in Toronto area, but when my father was looking for a Mazda6 the guys I know at head office suggested Performance. The old guy is a tough customer (he owned four Lexus' prior to the Mazda6) and he has been satisfied with their service to date.....although Mazda service in general doesn't hold a candle to Toyota/Lexus!

Best of luck.

ive heard many a horror story of bank street. theyre very willing to sell a car, and can beat most prices (advantages of being an 'automotive group' - ie: Dilawri), but once you have that, thats it, its like nothing to them, they get the sales numbers, but service afterwards is the pits...

Congrats on your new buy

This is so true - I think I got a good deal on the price... not totally sure cause of the way they screw around with the numbers and there didn't seem to be a discount on the price of the car, but they gave me almost 14,000 on my trade in - '01 Sentra... Anyways, I don't think I will go back to Bank Street for service - they got enough of my money and won't be getting anymore. Sounds like Performance is the way to go!

Good luck with your purchase!!

p.s. when you do buy your car, don't let them sell you the electronic rust protection kit - it is a load of crap. It only works on boats because they are submerged in water.

Question

Frostee, or anyother purchaser.

I am selling my 2004 Winning Blue GT which has only 4000kms on it, I am asking for $3500.00 canadian and you take over the payments which are only $730/month, I can try to arrange financing and there is no GST.
It is fully loaded and in mint condition, minus the nav system which I thought is a waste of money anyways.

If you or anyone else is interested in purchasing this baby for $3500.00.
I am in Ottawa.

Thanks, but I'm looking at the 2005 model. I have already sketched out a preliminary deal with performance which is $0 down and $650ish a month It's not set in stone yet, but will be in July hopefully

Hawkesbury. Got the best price on an '04. I would assume the same would apply for an '05. I looked long and hard for a good deal and Hawkesbury came up with the right numbers, even with the long drive to and from for paperwork and delivery. No BS. Just a great price.
