stock wheels chromed

Has anyone got their stock alloy wheels chromed? I love the look of the pollished chrome but I'm not shelling out 2 grand for them. I saw a place in Cal. that has a sort of chrome exchange going on. For $550 + 2 way shpping (and an $800 deposit) they will shp you chromed wheels. You then have 2 weeks to get your rims to them in the same boxes. Didn't know what anyone thinks.

Thanks
Bob

I thought about doing it. The problem is, most of us will change to after market latter anyway. So, I just decided to pony up the doe and pay for new wheels and tires. You can find some nice wheels and tires for $2000.

Check it out.....

Liked the look of the 'polished', not too bling/chromelike, so I bought peoples damaged rims, and polished myself a set!

They are holding their shine better than expected, I haven't coated them, just a little wax so far.

Polishing link....
