just wanted to throw a shameless plug out there that the TexasRxs have created a group on Yahoo to help draw members and ease communication etc.., below was taken straight from the site

This group serves the members and visitors of TexasRxs Car Club of Austin, a group of Mazda Rx owners and enthusiasts, as a companion to our club website at http://www.texasrxs.org

Its functions are:

1. Direct traffic to our website texasrxs.org, for complete information on events, news, calendar dates, forums, sponsors, photos of events, tech discussions, sale/swap listings, all about us, and how to join.

2. Make short term announcements, updates & reminders on club activities, serving as a companion to our website.

3. To find and welcome back old or lost Yahoo friends, & new visitors.

We have several diverse events every month open to you, your family, friends, guests and children...something for everyone. These include a monthly meeting, Saturday & Sunday runs (some with shopping time), Sat. night Drive-n-Dine, and others TBA.

Come join us online and at Rudy's BBQ (183N & Duval) for good food and good fun celebrating these wonderful cars...first Wednesday of every month at 7 PM or so.

If you have trouble getting to the website, signing up, need any help, or have any questions, post here and we will get back to you right away.

I would personally recommend getting involved, the club has lots of drives, lots of gatherings, meetings every month, vendor support (the more members the more likely that we will get even more support in that area) and not to mention that that if you own an RX8, it is borderline criminal not to take this car out and really enjoy it along with fellow rotorheads. This past Wednesday we had 4 generations of rotaries at our monthly meeting and it was awesome! Pm me if you need any info. on the club or even better, sign up to the group and come on out to the meets etc..

hmm i would sign up but i'm not a gun-toting guy from texas.....i do tot guns so does that count for anything:D
