i just traded my 8 for a vette. i still love the 8 but have always wanted a vette. the pics suck but here are a few.

i got a 2001 with 24,000 miles for $26,500. and a good trade for my 8 too. bought the 8 last july for 26k traded in for 22k.

Nice Vette--how did your insurance change? The C5 interior sucks tho--my only complaint with those cars, the domestics just can't get it right.

Nice car. I like the vette a lot, but need those back seats. Just bew careful...as bad as the 8 in in the snow, the vette is worse..I do not know about rain.

 

man - I wish Chevy would have ditched the 'play-skool' dashboard long before the C6 came out...the interior is the 'only' aspect of C5's I don't LOVE. :D

You don't have time to look around the interior anyway when you are HAULING ***. That's why they have a HUD in the vette (at least I think they do).

Interior crap = for the chicks. My wife thinks my 8 was so much nicer on the inside.

Congrats. I'm not big on the interior either but the C5 is a sweet looking ride. I hope you have some leftover money to replace the rear tires a couple times a year.

 

And she is right.
The C5 is a nice car but the Fisher-Price interior would make me shudder every time I get in. No way would I want that. The C6 interior on the other hand looks much better. Still far from great (and in fact far from even the RX-8 interior), but it's fine.
No question about the Corvette's ability as far as power goes... it looks great from the outside too.
I would not trade my RX-8 for a used C5... but that may only be me.

Yeah, a vette's nice. That's why there's 10 of them out there per linear mile of road. 8's are a bit more unique. That's why I bought one.

 

The Vette C5 is a great car (although I agree with the others about the interior). Behave yourself with that 6-speed, though. Temptation in that thing often = tickets.
