I had a request to see a wood dash (light Burl Oak) in an 8. here it is (if it works) :p

Sorry, but that just not do it for me (oh yeah, it's not my car). Perhaps a brushed aluminum or carbon fiber on the RX for me (oh yeah, I have the Mazdaspeed carbon fiber parts)

I like the stock piano black the best. The MS carbon fiber looks too fake.

It would look nicer if it was a darker wood finish but you do have something unique!

 

To each his own, but IMO it doesn't go w/ the interior.

aluminum would look cool but wood just doesn't do it for me in an RX8. Also fake wood usually looks better in a darker finish. The lighter the finish the less grain you want to show for fake wood.

 

I think it looks pretty nice--much better than I had originally envisioned--it would look even better with black or black/tan leather.

Kit was 100.00 from Kickin Dash in Daytona Beach-They can also be found on ebay. This is real wood (oak burl) however it was also a prototype and I had to re cut the radii in the radio parts because they would not clear the buttons. Why am I repeating myself

 

cloth and wood? maybe if you had leather interior? still never in my 8... sorry dude wood panels dont go with the 8..

 

Not for me, but looks pretty good. Bet it would look good with the black and tan interior combo too.

 

Uhhh ... yucky. Wood and sports cars don't go well. If this were a family-man/soccer mom luxury Lexus/BMW/Benz then maybe.

Don't forget that most of the original sportscars had wood dashs. Triumphs, MG's, Fiats, etc. If you get freaked about the dash, then you'll really freak when I say that I'm looking for wire wheels with spinners. :D

 

You forgot to do the steering wheel. That's what doesn't look right to me in the pic. Either way I can't say I'm a fan
