Anybody get a call about participating in an RX-8/Mazda6 market focus group? They asked for my email address but I gave them a mailinator account so I don't get spammed and can check if this isn't an email con.

 

lol a spammer wouldn't use a reason like "focus group" to get your email address. You'll know its a spammer when they offer you something that you don't want or... maybe you do want? Such as free camcorders, laptops, computer, ***** enlargement, prescription drugs, naked girls or guys, see britney spears nude, the list goes on....
If you do join the focus group tell them that the RX8 needs to have better MPG!!!

 

And at least another 50HP...lol, we are greedy...

Just got my call tonight. They wanted to know my email address to sent info.
He said this is only a focus group for the RX-8 and said all feedback will be given to
Mazda to better improve the RX-8. I'll have to wait and see what they send me.

 

Some of those focus groups aren't spamming or soliciting information. A number of us were contacted in MI regarding an RX-8 evaluation, a prototype 6sp auto. We got $100 just for showing up!

 

how can I be a part of this? Can you give them my info?

 

I was just contacted about the focus group this morning. They said exactly what you guys have said "we'll use this information to better improve the RX8 in the future."

Gave them my yahoo account that I use to sign up for things. Sounded legit though. Anyone actually been a part of this yet or just the cold call about the sign up?

 

yeah - i got this and signed up. See the thread "RX-8 feedback survey to Mazda" - i uploaded a picture of what the e-mail invitation looks like. Seems legit.
