Last night my side aero's were stolen right in my driveway my car has only been on the road for about 3 weeks now...does anyone know were i can possibly get a set the same or the mazdaspeed ones i dont care if its replica or not.. Thanks alot everyone btw if anyone might of heard about this it was a black rx8 thanks again..located in toronto

 

Grr, I hate hearing stories like that since I have my own. I feel for you man, I had all 4 wheels stolen from my other vehicle Feb/04 in an underground parking lot (not secure though, obviously). Luckily, its a company car so I wasn't out of pocket for any of the $5k worth of damage. (2003 Grand Am GT). But I found it SO freakishly insulting.

Theft and vandalism on cars irks me so damn much.

Well it can't be that hard to find since there are only so many black 8 with side flairs? In future, alway have some sort of marking on stuff that is easily removed from your car. That way you can identify it/the thief. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

 

Dude! Thats scary!! I want to get side skirts too! thinking about the same thing.. MS either real or replicas....

Damn that sucks! i hate when people do sh#% like that. I've had my previous car broken into twice!! and i didn't even have anything visible to steal.. but they got into the trunk and took mine and my friends' backpacks.. the 2nd time, they broke in and stole kids christian praise CDs.. talk about lowlife losers..

 

i thought the strakes are apart of that vent looking thingy. Did they remove the entire vent? Or just the actual piece of metal? If anybody jacked my strakes I would be really really pissed off, but why would somebody do that, doesn't make sense! It's not like a mercedes symbol where they can use it as a necklace or whatever they do with those ornaments.

Was it the strakes they stole? If they did I can understand why they'd go for them, they're 75 bucks a pop! Stupid to steal, especially if you've already paid money for a reasonably priced car... but sheesh!

 

thanks for all the support guys... just to clear things up it wasnt the strakes. its part of the aero package that you get as an option from mazda just infront of the back tires... im surprised they didnt steal my front lip also(knock on wood)...has anyone dealt with www.mazdaparts.com before because I might be ordering my new side skirts from them.
once i get these skirts im going to make sure i mark them or maybe i'll just chain a pitbull to my car at night Thanks again everyone
