Have to kill one whole week, then 1st autox in the RX-8!

I signed up for my first autocross in the RX-8 on Apr. 17th in Minneapolis(www.mnautox.com). I absolutely can not wait! I did quite a few events before in the DC area with a Honda Prelude, but this will be the first with the RX-8. The car's all stock, but I bet it will be hairier than the Prelude (and it's a base with no electronic aids). :D I'm thinking I'll put all the tires at 38 psi and see what happens. I got used to 45 psi in front, 30 psi in back, stiff rear shocks and lots of trail-braking to make up for understeer in the Prelude so I figure I ought to try to keep it a little more neutral until I am more used to the better balance. I imagine it won't be the fastest setup, but it may keep me from spinning out. Anyone else transitioning from a FWD car find this advisable?

On the stock alignment, if its dry, the back end won't be very loose with those pressures. I actually thought 40f/38r was a little better for getting rid of some of the understeer. The car handles really well, but if it gets into understeer cause you come in too hot, it can be hard to get out of without loosing alot of time. The 8 will trail brake very well, so that should be similar to FF.

I got a new alignment and just got the Racing Beat front sway, so I am going to try 43f/43r this Sunday and see how that feels.
