What a joke, it's sad because there are some pretty impressive Foci in europe. Why the hell they don't just bring the RS over I'll never know.

 

I think it's funny the Ford's lineup seems to be more diverse and interesting in Europe. You'd think they'd keep their cool stuff for the US (their domestic) market like the Europeans do for their respective markets. Oh well, guess I'll just have to move across the pond if I ever want some of the really sweet cars the world has to offer.

The Saleen Focus has never been anything but a so so body-kit with a bottle you can't use.

Give me the new Euro ST, the Focus RS, the original SVT Focus (2.5l duratech), or the Cosworth tuned Focus. You can have everything else.

 

I wanted to see the Focus RS here too, but some mags say they will cost 30k here. Who would buy a 30k Focus?

 

This is EXACTLY why they aren't in the US. People are too brand/name concious to pay that much for something that's "just" a focus. I'm sure plenty of people said the same thing when the STi/Evo came over.

Why pay 30k for an Impreza/Lancer? Because they're so far beyond the base models that the only thing they really even share is the body and the name.
