It will be interesting to know when Ibfubar's dealership gets a shipment. Please let us know when that happens.

Any more info on this? I've seen a few posts that seem to indicate this (ie, people on SoCal expecting to get the car into the dealer over the next few days), but I haven't seen anything specifically stating this.

Any chance some trucks (ie with no port options) may have already left the port?

Would you happen to know anything about cars headed for Midlothian TX? My car came in to port humeme (sp) but was destined for midlothian TX. Will they go by train to there then via truck out to the dealers? Or have those destined for TX already left cali?

Yes they go by rail to Midlothian then onto transporters to the dealers.

Buda - can you check my east coast VIN and see if they are showing at port yet? I know mine is on the first boat so if it comes back as 30 we know the east coasters are not long for getting their cars.

east coast

called my dealer.
he said the jersey city ship docked on 6/17. while they were in a mazda meeting, they said that the ship was docking at that very moment.
he said they expect the cars to get to the dealership towards the end of next week... july 4th weekend. this dealership is only about 10 miles away from jersey city, so i don't what this means for dealerships that are farther away.

This confirms my suspicions, unfortunately, that the east coast ship HAS NOT docked. The weekly conference call is nationwide. I suspected that during that call they said "the ship has just arrived in port" and everyone assumed it was THEIR port when in fact it was California. I know its tough to be rational but these things had to happen for us to have cars in Jersey Port right now:
1. The ship had to set sail from Japan on or about May 17th directly to Jersey, bypassing Jacksonville FL.
2. RX-8s had to be built on or before May 17th to make this East bound stealth ship.
3. This ship also had to avoid all sleuthing this forum has become so good at.
4. People expecting Jersey City Port arrival would have code 30 "IN PORT" on their VIN report now.

So who has a build date VIN report that fit these criteria?

My dealer also told every preorder 'in transit" that the cars were in Port last week. Last night I had him check the weekly report (updated on Mondays) and everyone he called is still "20 On Water"

Now, I am perfectly willing to be proven wrong and hope I am, but I do not believe our cars are on land yet. Logic dictates June 30th in Jacksonville and July 2nd in Jersey.
