Tein S-tech = Wheel Hop Solution?

Hi, I just ordered a Tein S-tech set and I was wondering if any of you who has it got rid of the massive wheel hops this car is so capable of? I don't mind the wheel hops at launch because I won't be doing that all the time. What I'm annoyed about is the wheel hop when I shift. I'm running with modified CZ Stage 2 map and so it packs a lot of punch when it's on. If I turn it off, I would have no problem with wheelhops during shifts, just chirps (which I dont mind either).

Whenever I rip to 9K and shift to 2nd I would get bad wheelhops for a full second and when it starts to accelerate real fast again. I was running 32psi on my rear tires that time. So I decided to lower it to 28psi and I still get the wheelhops, but a little less annoying.

Shift to 3rd does it a bit but very subtle.

From what I understand the rear strut tower brace is a better solution to this problem.

oh really? That's the first time I've read that. I might as well get that since I will be taking that portion apart during installation anyway.

yea and sway bars can help. The springs won't get rid of the wheel hop totally, when I launch I still get a little bit but it does seem better.

eveything i've read says if you upgrade the rear-sway bar it'll solve a lot of wheel hop issues (example racingbeats rearsawy is liek 155 adn it's one of the thickest and strongest.)

Yeah ok. I was gonna get RB rear sway bars in the future anyway. I always thought sway bars affect the left-right tension and not front-back; springs can do that.

My wheel hop went away when I replaced my stock springs with Tein H-Techs.

I still get a little wheel hop even with the racing beat springs and sways. I think I need a rear strut tower brace or tie bar.

Replacing my rear sway bar did nothing for wheel hop. I am hoping the enw springs do.

^ They say that RB springs has the least change in spring rate and drop from stock compared to other springs out there. That might be why it didn't affect your wheel hops so much. I'm still having a hard time understanding how a rear strut bar could be the solution.

Well, note that I got the H-Techs, not the S-Techs which are stiffer... so that might have some effect.

I got them off eBay for like $130 from optionimports.com.
