LOL, I was just thinking the same. The other day I saw 3 huge *** trucks in the parking lot of walmart.

There's still something in me from the 80's where having a truck with KC daylighter headlights is still cool. Not sure I want to use a ladder to get into my truck though.

Why do people modify newer trucks by giving them a 12" lift that'll kill their driveline unless they opted for a just-as-expensive live axle swap F/R?

I think the front axle on that example is a heavily-trussed Dana 44, and the rear is a Dana 60. A bit overkill for a truck that probably has never seen mud in its life. Want 4x4? Get an old rig, or build one. Owning a jacked-up 2002 Silverado does not make you country. It makes you a ****.

Talking

trips down to Van Vleck, outside of Baycity Tx.,I kind of miss getting mud thrown in my face behind the starting gates with that ice cold M.L. in my hand,of course they were not as big, mostly narrow body rockets and modifieds, but it was good entertainment, what the hell,it was fr$%ng great.....................................

How appropriate that it's parked in front of a tire store.

Thanks for sharing. I always wondered what the gas mileage is on those things.
