I don't think that any dealers offer better deals than others. I think it has more to do with:

1) the salesperson you deal with - try and deal direct with the business manager.

2) how well the dealership is doing - if they are having a bad month, you can usually get a better deal near the end of the month

3) MOST IMPORTANT - how good are you at getting the deal you want. Work at least two dealers against each other. Be prepared to walk out when trying to sign a deal. Even if you get your price, make like you are going to sign and then tell them you want to think about it over night. They don't want to let you out the door without signing....usually good for another $500.

Service is another thing. When you buy the car, get introduced to the service manager. It might be a good idea to brush up on some of the issues in this forum and have a discussion with him. At this poitn the guy will assume that he is dealing with someone who knows his stuff and may treat you with more respect.

Talk to "Mazda Matt" @ Signature Mazda in the Richmond Automall, tell him Tyler sent you. He's a nice guy, and a straight shooter. Don't know if you'll get a deal at all, but he shouldn't BS you.

When stuff like that happens you need to talk to the sales manager or owner and have that salesperson repeat what he said to your Dad......if a salesperson is saying crap like that, he doesn't deserve to have a job!

I don't agree.....If I salesperson is misrepresenting a dealership that bad, the manager or owner should know about it. Mazda dealers are having enough troubles without having people like that work for them.
