Mazda Announces October 2004 Sales
-27.4%
I believe the month to month percentage drop may be attributed to the fact that in Oct'03 the 8 had just arrived was available for only a few short months while demand was naturally higher. The enthusiasts/cultists got them first and now its the folks/bargain hunters who are learning about the 8 through this site and word of mouth that are picking them up.
Even the Year-to-Date numbers for the Miata are low -- only 8,000 sold worldwide the whole year. I wish the RX-8 numbers were that low -- I like my car to be RARE!
Let's see, 55 percent of Mazdas were sold outside Japan. About 29,000 RX-8's have been sold worldwide. This means about 16,000 RX-8's were sold outside Japan. How many of those do you suppose went to the U.S.?

You know alot of people say I hope 8's cant be found all over the place...yada yada yada...but you do know that if Mazda does not sell enough 8's we are all in trouble right (I know most of you have one already) but I want to see improvements in the car and I want to see it grow and grow
Cool. That must be the European Miata...
Aren't all U.S. Miatas/MazdaSspeed Miatas standard convertibles?
There's an option to have a hardtop colored the same as the body but those pics obviously show it as a solid chassis design.
As the TopGear host would say: "Nice Coupaaay."
