Smile Black W/19"Racingharts, just another option

Just a couple picks that I took right after installing this set of RacingHart J8 PRO's on my Brilliant Black 8. :D

They make use of the flaired out wheel wells, and seem to balance out a bit more than the stock, even though stock is still pretty good. J.M.O.

This is the only outside mod I have done, and yes before it is said, I know it needs more. I will be doing alot more as money permits. It was nice to be able to come to this forum and use other peoples opinons and pictures for footwork in the search of a purchase for the 8. I appreciate that. I am going for a certain look, black and chrome, and dark chrome. If anyone knows if there is a set of black chrome strakes left out there, let me know. I know rx8fun has painted one but I'm looking for chrome black. Rx8fun has alot of good stuff and I will be seeing them. (good prices)

Wheel/Tire Pkg..Specifics:

RacingHart J8 PRO's
Front- 19x8.5 (+38 offset) with Nitto 555's 245/35/19
Rear- 19x10 (+44 offset) with Nitto 555's 275/30/19

They look great on your black car. I am convinced that the black/silver rims totally make a black car look so much better.

Looks sweet.
Can't go wrong with black/chrome wheels on a black 8.
I haven't seen any black chrome strakes but the stock polished aluminum strakes would match with the chrome lip, emblems, rotary crests, and exhuast tips.

That looks just awesome....

The spoke pattern really does give the car a "finer" look.

(To think i was worried how 7 spokes would look)

Well done!

oh boy, as a show-off factor they look absolutely great, but will you be able to kick the tail out with those 275 rear tires? I mean, isn't performance seriously affected, on a negative aspect? I'm asking, because I usually see cars with 400hp wearing setups like yours. Hope I'm wrong...

Great pictures and great post with all the pertinent info included. I hate when people list wheels and then wait until someone has to ask for basic details.

The car will push/plow more than it already does.

Fortunately I don't push a car to the extreme in any sense of the word. I've owned a 55' Chevy with a built 327 with a six pac, a '58 Ford 500 with a six pack, Chopped and lowered '74 Mazda Rotry truck, '92 25th Ann Camaro convert and on and on, and they have always been for the fun and experience of working on them. I traded my slammed 2000 Silverado in on this just to get the chance to tinker. My kids hate to ride on trips with me cause they say I drive like granny.

Question

Anybody know if the actual Tein S tech advertised drop of 1.7 inch is what you will actually get?

actually 1.4 front... the rear is different on certain 8's. You get about a finger gap in front.

So if you get a finger gap in the front what do you get on the back??

Or what have you got??
