I'm waiting on my ings aero hybrid front bumper to arrive via japan. Has anyone had fitting problems with this type bumper. Should it be painted before or after installation?

 

Always wise to trial fit everything first to ensure that fitment is okay.
At this stage it is easier to perform modifications to rectify fitment issues.
Only once this is done do you get the item painted.

 

- trial fit and make necessary adjustments inc. pre drill the holes
- match the colour and paint it
- put the mesh on, line it up and screw it on
- enjoy yourself

Would recommend a trial fitting, I found that the bits where the 'clear corners' go needed a little bit of tweaking. Needed the holes making slightly larger so they'd clip on. I guess this depends on the car itself because no 2 cars will be identical when multiple panels are involved.

The whole process, including removing the stock bumper for the first time took an afternoon.

Other than that, it fitted perfectly.

Pending a deal i might have my hands on the hybrid aero full INGS kit also by the end of next week....
