I have been following the forums for a few weeks but this is my first post. I bought my new RX8 about 3 weeks ago and I have put 1300 miles on it. I love it and really can't fault it except for the low gas milage 13 in town. I traded a supercharged 2001 bonneville for the Mazda and the Bonneville got the same but weighed a lot more. I really don't want to compain I hope it gets better maybe 16 would be nice. I would not give this car up regardless of the gas milage. I got a nail in a tire that the dealership found when I took it in to check the computer flash. The service department was great. When I bought the car the salesman told me it had the CD changer but it doesn't. I thought it did also because of the controls. I would like to get a MP3 player for it.Can anyone tell me if they have expirience with the MP3 player?

 

the mp3 player is great...streams the names of the tracks on the display as jasonhamilton he has it and loves it besides it is cheap from canzoomer and trussville and others

but you are better off buying the pie unit...getting an aux audio in (2 rca in) and then using the denison icelink and hooking up an ipod that charges and is controlled by the steeringwheel and hU

Congratulations! Should also mention that besides great prices on Mazda accessories at Rosenthal and Trussville, Mazda is running a rebate program on accessories through November. Great time to buy! Enjoy your ride, it only gets better!

 

My 8 started at 13mpg also, now i get between 17-18. About 75%city driving. I now have 5500 miles on her. Welcome to the club it only gets better!!
